Wing Dings

Wing Dings are short gags that appeared in episodes of Dastardly & Muttley in Their Flying Machines.

Episode 1

Barn Dance

Klunk runs up to Dastardly, Muttley and Zilly asking if they're ready to go to the Barn Dance. Dastardly is confused by what Klunk means to where Klunk points to the barn literally dancing.

Hot Soup

Dastardly is planning to enjoy some hot soup but finds that it tastes like mop water. Meanwhile Zilly is confused to find alphabet noodles in his mop bucket which implies that someone switched the soup pot and the mop pot.

Arnold

Dastardly is showing Muttley a big green dog named Arnold at how well trained he is. Dastardly throws a ball where he tells Muttley that Arnold always gets the ball. When Arnold comes back, Dastardly tells him to drop it, only for Arnold to drop a huge wrecking ball on him.

Pineapple Sundae

Klunk serves Dastardly an ice cream sundae with a dill pickle on top which Dastardly finds weird. He prefers his sundaes with pineapple to which Klunk puts a whole pineapple on the sundae. Dastardly demands he wants crushed pineapple to which Klunk comes back with a mallet and smashes it, causing the ice cream and the pickle to splatter on Dastardly.

Episode 7

Deep Reading

Dastardly is reading when he asks Zilly for some light. He comes back with a spotlight where Dastardly says it's too bright. Zilly comes back with another light only to reveal it's a floodlight as it floods the whole room with water.

Shell Game

Zilly and Klunk are at the beach where Klunk grabbed some eggshells from a trash can. Zilly tells him that he's collecting seashells and says if you put a seashell to your ear, you could hear the ocean. The two do so where Zilly says you can almost feel it only for the ocean to spray out of Klunk's ear and onto Zilly.

Slightly Loaded

Dastardly, Zilly and Klunk are taking out boxes of supplies out of their truck and into the hanger. Klunk grabs the heavy loads while Dastardly grabs the light loads. However the light load turns out to be too heavy for Dastardly as it's a searchlight load.

Episode 8

Springtime

Dastardly laments to Klunk that their water spring is running dry. Zilly then tells the two that he found a new spring nearby. When Dastardly arrives, wondering where it is, Zilly tells him he's standing on it to which a hidden metal spring erupts and catches Dastardly in the coils.

Dog's Life

Dastardly finds scraps and bones lying around the hanger and believes Zilly brought a dog in despite saying he can only have a fish as a pet. Zilly tells him that's what followed him home and introduces Rex, his pet dogfish.

Strange Equipment

Zilly and Muttley are getting ready for a baseball game so Dastardly brings out the equipment; catcher's mitts, protective equipment and baseballs. Zilly says he forgot about the bats, to which Dastardly opens the cabinet and is shocked to find real bats flying around him.

Episode 10

Real Snapper

Zilly tells Klunk that someone called the 'Old Crab' is in the bathtub. Dastardly who's in the bathtub doesn't like being called old crab to where Zilly says he wasn't talking about Dastardly. When Dastardly wonders who's the old crab, something pinches him revealing the old crab is actually a crab in the bathtub.

Episode 11

Fast Fright

Dastardly and Zilly are riding on the roof of a train's caboose which Zilly keeps asking about. However Zilly suddenly asks about the upcoming bridge much to Dastardly's confusion until they actually hit the overhead bridge causing them to fall off the train.

Episode 12

Bowling Pin

While Klunk and Zilly are reading, Dastardly complains that the place is so quiet that he could hear a pin drop. Muttley at the same time is doing bowling and knocks down a bowling pin where it hits Dastardly on the head knocking him out. Zilly remarks that was one pin Dastardly didn't hear.

Shrink Job

Dastardly finds that his clothes are too small for him to wear thanks to Klunk's laundry soap which is so strong that it shrinks everything. When Dastardly asks Zilly if they could unshrink his clothes, Zilly says they can't so they instead push Dastardly into the soap to shrink him instead.

Episode 14

Echo

Zilly takes Dastardly to a cave which makes echoes which he demonstrates. Dastardly hollers 'Get Lost!' but the echo doesn't call back much to his confusion. The phone rings and Dastardly hears his echo on the phone saying 'Get Lost Yourself!'

Rainmaker

It's a hot day and Dastardly is sweating. Zilly decides to help by cloud seeding in order to make it rain. Once he's done, Zilly realizes he needs to get back up to the sky and seed again as he accidentally seeded the clouds with real seeds causing flowers to rain.

Episode 16

Tough Break

Dastardly is driving downhill in his jeep when he finds that the breaks are not working. Zilly then mentions that the jeep will stop on a dime and throws a coin on the road. The jeep immediately stops as Dastardly gets thrown out while Zilly tells him he owes him a dime.

Ice Cream Tree

Klunk plants a seed in the ground with Dastardly who's with Zilly and Muttley asking what is he doing. After a short time, the seed blooms into an ice cream tree, however the only flavors available are vegetable flavors as Klunk's a vegetarian.
